36 Life-Changing Lessons from Following Jesus: A Birthday Reflection

After nearly 16 years of walking with Jesus, each birthday becomes an opportunity to reflect on His faithfulness and the wisdom He's taught me along the way.

Here are 36 lessons I've learned - some through grace, others through growth, and many through stumbling forward in faith.

The Foundation of Love

• God's Love is Unconditional: His love isn't earned - it's freely given. Every morning I'm reminded that His love precedes my efforts.

"We love because he first loved us." (1 John 4:19)

The Power of Simple Prayer

• Keep Prayer Real: Prayer doesn't have to be complicated to be meaningful. Some of my deepest moments with God have been in simple, honest conversations.

These 36 lessons weren't learned in a classroom but through daily walks, stumbles, victories, and surrenders with Jesus. Each represents countless moments of grace, growth, and revelation.

The beautiful thing about walking with God is that there's always more to learn, more ways to grow, and more of His love to discover.

Looking back on these lessons fills me with gratitude, and looking forward fills me with anticipation.
